SLC Safe Launch Concept an integral part of a new series production start-up

In advance quality planning, extensive preventive QM tools such as APQP, PEP, QVP, inspection and process planning....etc. are deployed and used in the automotive supply industry. Nevertheless, experience has shown that unplanned events can occur in the start-up phase after the start of production (SOP), which can negatively affect the process flow and the quality of the components. In order to safeguard this "process inexperience" and to continue to avoid customer complaints, the implementation of a so-called "start-up safeguard", "ramp-up safeguard" or SLC Safe Launch Concept makes a lot of sense. This implementation and safeguarding of the series start-up enables the suppliers to get to know their manufacturing process better, to recognize unplanned malfunctions in time and thus to increase customer satisfaction.
